1.Injection molding process and injection mode of long glass fiber reinforced PP: long glass fiber reinforced polypropylene (PP) components are usually made of injection molded long glass fiber particles. A new one-step process can mix polypropylene and glass fiber together to directly produce injection molding parts. The two methods have their own characteristics. The way to adopt them should be determined according to the characteristics of the parts production.

2.In automobile engineering, glass fiber reinforced polypropylene is more and more used in instrument panel, front end and underbody. Polypropylene has the characteristics of low density, low material cost and reuse, so it gradually replaces engineering plastics and metals in the above application fields. However, if the long glass fiber reinforced material enhances the elastic modulus and impact strength, polypropylene can only meet the mechanical specifications.

3.The components are made of injection molding or compression molded glass fiber reinforced PP. In the process of compression molding, the starting material is usually semi-finished sheet made of glass fiber mat thermoplastic (GMT) reinforced PP. Because of its long fiber and isotropic characteristics, traditional GMT compression molding can usually produce parts with excellent mechanical properties. However, the GMT production process is very complex. Therefore, the cost of semi-finished products is relatively high.

4.With the development of the latest technology, PP and glass fiber can be mixed online and then directly compressed. With the development of technology, there are many disadvantages in compression molding and injection molding. In most cases, the parts must be reprocessed. Openings in the compression molding parts are usually formed only during the downstream stamping process. This will result in waste and increase the overall cost.
